Mirelys Colon

I’m a freelance illustrator based near Raleigh, North Carolina. I graduated from UNC Charlotte in May of 2019 with a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Illustration. I have some experience in screen printing, sequential storytelling, and conceptual design.

I love comics, animation, and video games! My favorite genre is definitely fantasy. I love creating characters and telling stories. I hope to someday be a part of the media I read, watch, and play every day.

I make fantasy-inspired art that incorporates diversity, body positivity, and Puertorrican culture. My biggest personal project right now is a graphic novel that I’ve been working on for over 12 years! It’s called ‘Meteozar’ and features a cast of diverse LGBTQ+ characters on a fantasy adventure.
