In the Triangle, Mary Ann Anderson has exhibited at Artspace, Duke University, Durham Arts Council, Durham Art Guild, Golden Belt, the Ackland Museum Store, The Carrboro Arts Center and Visual Art Exchange. Her art studies have included classes at Ox-Bow, a program of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and classes at Penland School of Craft in North Carolina. She exhibited extensively at community galleries in Illinois for 20 years, before moving to Chapel Hill in 2008
