The Durham Jazz Workshop (DJW) is a non-for-profit, 501c3 Arts organization dedicated to providing the very best in jazz education and live performances in the Triangle. To live up to its mission, the DJW runs a vibrant educational program including small and large ensembles and classes for youth and adult students. The DJW also operates a performance series featuring over 100 concerts a year in its celebrated Sharp Nine Gallery Jazz Club. The performance series highlights gifted local jazz artists as well as regional and national performers. The DJW is part of an ecosystem of small performance venues that help professional jazz musicians string together tours throughout the United States.
